HailSens calibration & certification
Ensure reliable hail monitoring data with professional calibration and certification services for HailSens systems. Regular calibration supports measurement accuracy, quality assurance and long-term sensor performance.
Professional calibration for reliable hail monitoring
KISTERS provides calibration and certification services for Pressure Sensors. Periodic calibration offers reliability of measured data. Certificates help you in your QA processes and provide traceability and auditable documentation.
HailSens is a unique product for hail monitoring, KISTERS provides calibration and certification of HailSens sensors and all units are delivered with a Factory Calibration Sheet. To keep measurements accurate, KISTERS recommends to re-calibrate the units once a year just before the start of the hail season. HailSens unit can be field calibrated with pretty much the same accuracy and precision that a factory calibration offers.
KISTERS offers the service of calibrating units in the field using the specifically developed and designed HailCal unit. Using a combination of impact masses and fall heights, HailCal field calibration devices allow the calibration over a wide range of kinetic energy classes. Alternatively, KISTERS continues to offer factory calibration. Factory or field calibration are indicated whenever a sensor has been mechanically stressed, a transducer unit had to be replaced. Or after a commissioned upgrade of mechanical or electronics parts incl. firmware updates.
KISTERS produces a calibration certificate documenting the calibration and about calibration settings transferred to the HailSens unit.
